Existing Grid clients can access HPSS and improve throughput by using the NERSC Grid-enabled HPSS server

Existing Grid clients can access HPSS and improve throughput by using the NERSC Grid-enabled HPSS server. Users with larger data sets, who need even faster throughput to HPSS can install and use the Grid-enabled PFTP client. PFTP accepts Grid credentials and authentication. TCP buffer size is based on size of data set and the network topology.
